Favorite story arc: Roy and Keeley are endgame as far as I'm concerned. As I suggested in the post, I will be shocked if they break up. I trust the writers to handle it well whatever they decide, but in this fantasy version of reality populated by emotionally intelligent characters, I think they're going to show how two people who love each other work through difficulties. And don't you want to see the wedding Keeley would plan?
Favorite episode: Season 1, Diamond Dogs. Season 2, Rainbow.
The wedding she would plan would be awesome...the dress alone is worth an entire episode. And, ofcourse the after after party would end up at the pub...WITH Roy and Keeley still in attendance.
Favorite character: I'm relistening to The West Wing Weekly podcast, and they've been talking about how obsessive Aaron Sorkin would be about giving all of his principal characters quality things to do in each episode, or at worst every couple episodes. It really bothered him if Toby or Donna or Charlie didn't have a good morsel of plot and he would rejigger things to make it more even. TL isn't as strong in this, though it's more difficult with somewhat shorter episodes. I'm ready for more Dani in season 3, for example.
But in terms of favorite character, there's only one f***ing answer and you f***ing well know it. ;-)
I do think we will re watch Season Two, or parts of it before the debut of Season Three. There are plenty of nuances in this show that I need a refresher on. Plus it’s just so good.
Also planning on picking up a pint of Jeni’s Ice Cream called -Biscuits with the Boss -when it drops tomorrow!
It's funny, I don't usually rewatch TV shows, though I have watched The Princess Bride at least a dozen times (and let's not even count how many times I've read A Wrinkle in Time). Now I wish we had rewatched TL before season 3's start. And maybe we ought to rewatch The Detectorists. No more seasons of that coming out, but it was absolutely delightful.
My 80 year old cousin stayed with us a few days over Christmas holiday and she binged watched them with my husband. After one would finish she would say "Another one!" I have been watching one a night lately after watching something more intense (Truth Be told--excellent btw). I am excited about the new season but trying not to get my hopes up too high (it's the hope that kills ya)! :) I wish there was a way to share the messages/episodes with youth--but too much %$*(&$# cussing! I love Higgins and his family. The Christmas episode is one of my most favorites. I also like the dart episode (forgot the name of that one). Looking forward to having a place to share!
The season 3 teaser was very sweet and somehow managed to capture each person's essence. They really got me at "creer".
Rewatch: I was having trouble sleeping earlier this week so I turned on some Ted Lasso. I caught parts of some s1 eps but was in and out--not what I'd call a quality rewatch. So I might just go to season 2 and then catch some of my faves of s1 if I have time.
Here's my million dollar idea: I think shows like TL should release the "middle of the night" cut which flattens out/equalizes the volume and eliminates any jarring sound. TL theme song, I'm looking in your direction...
I've been rewatching, slowly. I really really like the first episode, and have seen it 3+ times so far. I also thought the Christmas episode was worth recommending to others.
I want the arc about Rebecca and her ex to end with her getting some permanent satisfaction. He keeps twisting the knife, and she's nearly in tears more than once. :(
Ted needs tons more therapy before he can have a normal relationship. Sassy is OK for him, but I don't see them as a true couple, ever.
There's much to be resolved.
And Nate, made his choice. He didn't know how good he had it with Ted.
Claire and I re-watched the whole thing last Summer...And, it's just so fun and delightful. Not to draw focus away from TL, but we have also watched Schitts Creek at least 2x all the way through. I believe with some of these shows you have to watch them a couple times just to catch ALL the information...the initial joke, the sight gags, the behind the scenes extras who are also working their best reactions to the main action. Anyway, can't wait til it starts again.

Aww, Keeley is in the thick of a love triangle. Did you notice what Sam drives? A Tesla!

Excited about that flavor!’

Thanks for the recommendation! I also have Shrinking queued up.
Oh Shrinking is one of my new favorites!!

Higgins is going to feature prominently in my season one post next week... love him. And his IRL spouse who plays his wife!

I agree with Roy being the fav character. He'll do anything for that niece. And, he loves ice cream. And, he got an appearance on Sesame Street: https://tvline.com/2023/01/12/ted-lasso-sesame-street-video-brett-goldstein-roy-kent/

Agree with all of this. And I love the Christmas episode too! It's a new tradition every December.
2 days to go. Right now am watching the whole team show up in nice black suits and NO TRAINERS for the funeral.
Not even really nice Yeezys?
Not even really nice bright red Yeezys!
I’ve been rewatching and listening to this podcast. Not quite TWWW, but good.
Seems like providence that season 3 and my dissertation submission aligned so closely. https://www.tedlassopod.com/
Thanks for the tip!!
I predict Ted will return to America, but Sassy will return with him. Beard will stay in England. Smells like potential.
I want to see more Ted and Sassy interactions before I get on board with that… but I sure want him to be happy!

The Good Place is a another fun and kind-hearted rewatch... especially season one so you can watch it in light of [redacted spoilers]
