A few weeks ago, I shared a short video with supporting subscribers in a post called This Is Your Brain on Anxiety. I just opened up that post to everyone, so check out the most helpful nugget I’ve found on understanding what happens when we experience anxiety or dysregulation.
In that post I promised some additional video nuggets on how we cope with these anxious moments. Today’s practice is tried and true in the Dana house. And not just in moments of stress! I’m going lean into this one a lot this month as we move toward the Christmas holiday. In addition to being an anxiety-tamer, it’s also a way of being present, and even savoring the current moment. If you find yourself so distracted that you’re not even tuned in to what’s going on around you, this one’s for you.
As before, this one’s for my supporting subscribers, which you can learn more about here. If cost is a factor, get in touch at maryannmckibbendana@substack.com. Members and friends of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Herndon are eligible for complimentary subscriptions; just ask.
