I’ve just begun reading On Tyranny and appreciate what he is saying. He’s putting into words what I have been thinking for a long time. I spent a lot of time with the Theological Declaration of Barmen in the run-up to the 2016 election and the 2020 election. Sadly too many people in the pews in the churches I served from 2016-2023 missed the point. And I was pretty blunt about what the declaration was saying.
This is a wonderful New Year's message, even if on day 5 it's already a kind of scary year.
