Also, "because I carry it well, doesn't mean it ain't heavy." I feel that and see that. That was an I hadn't read this before my session this morning but that was a big part of my time with my therapist this morning. Goodness that is so true.

Sensory self-care - it is whatever I can do that engages my body. I am such a head-type by default that getting out on a cold morning and feeling the cold on my face or the movement of my body as Scout and I walk. Running on my treadmill (I am not an outdoor running type), other exercise types, and yoga. All of it - helps me reconnect with my body and reminds me to _feel_ and not just think.

Very timely MaryAnn. Yesterday I had the most amazing taste self care. My local coffee shop roasts their own beans and has a coffee chef--he makes coffee concoctions by mixing and blending in different ingredients with coffee. Every Friday he offers a time where one can sample his latest creation. Yesterday, he created an earthy blend of ingredients- fig bark, bay laurel leaves, rosemary all locally foraged with cold brew espresso, ice and light sugar. I don't know how he did it but it tasted very close to a rose wine. I've never tasted a coffee drink similar to wine. I asked the other baristas if they were noticing the same and they agreed. Very, very self care. I hope your time with the Benedictines was fruitful. Thanks for this.
