Easter was my favourite liturgical holiday, because I feel a deep affinity with what it has to say about the experience of being human, especially through the lenses of holding on to hope not knowing the end of the story. Christianity has done incalculable harm to many people. The depth and scope of it takes one's breath away. I'm in a perpetual lover's quarrel with the church. Yet I just can't quit Jesus... Sigh.
